    is there a way to play a video in the header that is not from YouTube? And can the dim of the video be taken off and shown with original brightness? Please let me know

    Hello, the video playing in the home section is based on the ytplayer so it cannot play other videos other than youtube.

    Otherwise you can embed any videos in the page content

    To remove the dim:

    .pattern { background: none; }

    in theme options -> styling options -> custom css
