I'm using the Nerduck Theme (which is great – thank you) and I'd like to apply the full screen overlay navigation menu even when scaled to mobile. So, in other words, I don't ever want the standard drop-down menu to be active; I always want the full screen overlay menu. I only have 4 links, so it will never be an issue, and I much prefer the look and style of the full screen overlay.
I've played around with some of the @media-queries and some other CSS, but I'm thinking there might be some JS that needs to change too.
I don't see this setting anywhere in WordPress, so I think it needs to be changed manually.
Hopefully this makes sense, as it seems like a fairly straightforward request. Thanks.
Before I update, I'm not seeing the functionality I'm looking for with the link you provided below; it's still defaulting to the standard horizontal-lined drop-down menu.
Is there a new setting once I update to allow for the full screen vertical menu I was requesting?
I didn't... I edited the actual style.css file, locally, after downloading it via FTP. But I do a have a Child Theme. So would that retain all of my changes?
Is there any way to copy over just the files that would affect the new full screen menu? Is it PHP or JS files?
I don't mind a little extra work, if that's the case. I'd rather only carry over the new theme files that need to be updated, rather than the entire theme itself...
I don't understand... it must be possible. I understand it might not be built in, but I'm asking how it can be done. If it incurs an additional charge, that's fine. I bought this template based on the menu functions. This is a pretty basic menu function, so I'm not sure why it's not possible.
There's really nothing you can do to help accomplish this?
Hello. I realize this request hasn't been addressed in any updates but I did notice that one of your other templates uses the feature that I'm looking for. I believe it's the Legrand template.
Is there any way to translate that menu functionality over to the Nerduck theme? That's precisely what I've been looking for.

An example of this would be the treatment seen on http://www.hugeinc.com/
I\'d like the same effect... full screen overlay on desktop and then the same full screen overlay on mobile.
Thanks.
It\'s not possible at the present moment but we will introduce it in a further update.
thanks
Thank you.

Has this been updated? I'd still like this functionality to be possible.
Yes, definitely, have a look
http://clapat.ro/themes/nerduck-wordpress/overlay-menu/
if you download the latest version from envato (just redownload the theme and upgrade it)

Not sure why it happens. Have you hard refreshed the page ? (Ctrl+F5)
it's a setting in theme options (classic or overlay menu) in the latest version
Thanks
Thank you.

I'll try again. Do I need to be using child themes in order to not lose my changes?
I'll run a backup as well, but want to be sure I'm not going to lose all of my styling changes when I update.
Not if you changed just the theme options or page options. Or added just content to pages and dded files to media gallery.
Yes, if you changed the theme's files (.php, .js)
Backup is a good idea.
Thanks
Thank you.

What about CSS changes? That's where most of my changes occurred.
if you used theme options -> styling options -> custom css they will not be lost between the upgrades.
Thank you.

This isn't working for me... I followed all the steps and I'm still getting the usual menu behavior on mobile. Please see attached.
This is how it is supposed to work. Provide wp admin username and password to see what we can do. Thanks
Thank you.

Just discussed with the dev team and they cannot change the implementation on mobile. Thanks
Thank you.

It's an overlay effect of the classic menu that is not part of the mobile implementation - to be more specific.
Thank you.
