Bought your excellent theme yesterday and I'm now starting to get to grips with it.
One thing I'd already like to know, before I start manually altering stuff... Can I set a portfolio page so, that it only shows portfolio items of one or several categories of my choice, instead of all? I don't mean the filter, but just a way to say: "This page only shows portfolio items of category XXX".
Thanks very much! I understand how this helps in calling a portfolio page with only one category client-side, but is there a setting somewhere, to simply build a portfolio page in the backend, based on only one category?
Are you going to include this file in future updates too? Or is it necessary to replace the file after every Theme update?
I\'m not quite sure you understood my question about selecting a category for displaying postfolio-items...
What I\'m looking for is a simple way to choose (in Portfolio Templates for instance) which portfolio categories to display in a certain page, not having to add stuff to the url...
Just as you offer me the option of choosing the max number of items, see screenshot.
Adding that there is no filter per se in portfolio page which allows you displaying only certain categories. You can display only ONE category with the taxonomy page. Thanks
I did it in another way, duplicating the portfolio_mixed_page.php and the portfolio_pro_hero_section, renaming them and setting the data-filter to a specific category.
This gives me several extra options in the page template dropdown and disabling the portfolio filters does what I want it to do...

It can be done only via taxonomy page which displays a certain portfolio category, which can be specified in its url.
thanks
Thank you.

Hi there,
Yep, I was affraid of that.
I did it in another way, duplicating the portfolio_mixed_page.php and the portfolio_pro_hero_section, renaming them and setting the data-filter to a specific category.
This gives me several extra options in the page template dropdown and disabling the portfolio filters does what I want it to do...
Thanks for your help!
