Due to some freak of nature (hack?), my website has been wiped clean. (With the painful lesson of learning about backup). So I find myself trying to install the latest Berger again, through Wordpress 4.3.1. However, I simply get the message:
Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.
So I dug into the previous version I still have, tried it, and it worked fine without a hitch. I wonder if this is some kind of problem with the latest update. Also, is there a method of updating the theme you guys can recommend?
I hear you. First and foremost you should download the latest version from envato. It contains the latest version of the Visual composer which in the past had some security vulnerabilities. Can\'t say that this was the cause of the problem, however better be safe than sorry.
So:
1. if you can\'t install the zip via admin, there is always the FTP. just unzip (or copy) \'berger-theme\' to /wp-contents/themes/ folder
2. there is the question of the database. even if you erase the theme or entire wordpress folder the options and settings still remain there.
