Hello!

I've been working with the Berger WP theme and so far so good! I just have two questions:

1) the first is regarding permalinks as when I click on my portfolio items the links look like this http://www.thisisseriousstuff.co.uk/berger_portfolio/alice-bakes-cakes/ and I'd like to remove the "berger_portfolio" part of the link. I've tried fiddling with the Permalinks section in the settings, but this hasn't changed anything, and if I try modifying from within the portfolio item I'm only able to modify the part of the link.

2) the second question is with regards to the Berger theme updates - I have the Envato Toolkit plugin and it's telling me there is an update available for the theme but I'm just wondering if this would wipe out all of my content?

Hello,

I\'m very new to Wordpress/ themes/ and websites in general so I\'m not sure I understand what I need to do with the permalinks - I have gone to Portfolio Options -> Custom Slug but the box is blank and when I try to fill it in, it doesn\'t seem to work and creates some crazy, long permalinks and seems to \'break\' the link between the portfolio items and portfolio page - maybe I\'m not using the right structure/format?

I\'m also not sure what or where to make sure the .htaccess is writable?

I have done the update and it seems to have worked - thank you for your help!
