Hello, I noticed that the Clapat theme uses Google Fonts, but since my website is hosted on a local area network without external internet access, the web pages experience lag when loading. I want to remove Google Fonts – how should I modify the CSS file?
Not sure how we can solve this. I know that the google fonts are cached however it depends on the server's settings. You can for instance download the font files manually, define the css font face property in child theme's style.css and then replace font-family attribute throughput the .css files.
Thank you for your response, but I'm unsure where to modify the font definitions or which directory to place the downloaded Google Fonts. After inspecting the web resources, I found the site uses Oswald and Poppins fonts, with a sample URL like: http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/poppins/v23/pxiByp8kv8JHgFVrLDz8Z11lFd2JQEl8qw.woff2 However, I cannot determine exactly which CSS file declares these fonts.
You can simply manually download the fonts to your computer and then upload the files to Media Library
define a font face in you css file or appearance -> customize -> additional css and replace font-family attribute by scanning the .css file in style.css and /css folder
