I read in another ticket that you can add:

target="_blank"

to line 53 of the footer.php file:

<li><a href="<?php echo $global_theme_options[$option_idx]; ?>"><img src="<?php echo get_template_directory_uri()."/images/social_icons/" . $value . ".png"; ?>" alt="<?php echo $key; ?>" /></a></li>

to get the social links to open in a new window but i tried it and couldn't get it to work correctly as i'm not really a programmer… can you tell me exactly where i need to add it?
