Hi, I want to know which way of installing custom fonts is better for performance or the theme:

    1. Using the custom fonts plugin, or

2 Using the custom fonts function built into elementor

    Thanks

    Hi there.

    1. with custom fonts plugin - if you are using google fonts it's the same as as including as directly linking google fonts

with custom fonts the font files are sent from your server.

You have more control, I would say

    2. Elementor has a bit of overhead in terms of a large app/builder however is tightly integrated with their editor.

    Thank you.

    Thanks.

Elementor also has the option to upload font files to the server, which made me wonder if I really need to have an extra plugin

It's not necessary to use Custom Fonts Plugin, most of the time work well with Gutenberg. Plus you have the customizer -> typography section that let you change the fonts for elements on the fly.

    Thank you.
