I included a link to a gallery where I made the right most three images have a pop up image appear when clicked on, so the viewer can see the images in higher resolution / larger scale.
However, when the image is clicked on, the image scales to a size / dimensions that expands past the vertical boundaries of the screen. I have attempted to lower the resolution of the images to lower dimensions so that they may appear smaller, but that seems to not work either.
I would like for the image, when clicked on, to pop up as it does, alone, but only fill the vertical height of the screen at max – so that the viewer can see the entire image at once. Is this possible, and could you help me if it is?
Again, for the time being, I only made the last three images on the right of the gallery have an image available for pop up to show what I am experiencing.
Hi there is it possible to send us updated wp admin access in a private comment so we try to configure the pop up behavior? with full rights using Appearance -> Theme File Editor
It's actually the best solution for fullscreen images, in my opinion. When an image is displayed fullscreen the current viewport size and the original aspect ratio are producing cropping:
Intense zoom does not crop the image. Instead it takes the image with full width (or height, according to viewport's orientation) and the rest displays with mouse move.

Thank you!
Note: I am interested in doing this on the thumbnail slider pop-ups. I know that the justified grid pop-ups do essentially what I am requesting here.

Hi Nick,
The zoom image library we are using is called Intense Zoom library. Here is the link on github
https://github.com/tholman/intense-images
and this is a link to Codepen demo

Hi. Yeah, I understand the reason the image appears cropped via screen aspect ratios.
Thank you for your reply though, I've decided to go forward using the intense zoom based off your advice.
If I have another support question, can I ask it in this thread? Or, should I start a new ticket.
Best,
Nick
Hi Nicholas, we advise to create a new thread for each separate issue/question you are having.
Thank you.
