I am facing some issues during customization. First of all I have uploaded 2 short videos in media liberary (one with mp4 and second with webm format). Then i went on edition portfolio and i have added the urls in their designated places as Video Hero and updated the page. But no video is playing when i open website instead only static hero image is displayed.
Secondly, there's no option to duplicate portfolio item to make it easy for customization. Because using your portfolio edit page is very complicated and i am not able to make similar page as you did. I need more pages like the first portfolio item.

the .mp4 and .webm video formats are actually what you need (self-hosted videos) to add hero video sections.
It would be useful to provide your site URL, so we can have look in the browser console, may be there is an error there indicating that video isa unable to play?
There are plugins out there helping you with post cloning such as this one:

We have not tested it but try it, there are other, hopefully there are no side effects related to theme
