I would like to enable comments for my portfolio pages (Serano theme), can you please let me know how to do this? I can implement the custom php code in the theme files if necessary, please provide instructions.
Thank you so much I found it! It was a silly mistake on my part I was looking under the appearance theme editor instead of the plugin file editor!! applying the changes now, I will confirm the results shortly!
This all worked like a charm, thanks so much for bearing with me as I worked to implement!! 5 star support rating. This theme really is outstanding design far ahead of its time. Many others attempt but are unable to achieve the simplicity and beauty that you were able to achieve with the Serano theme!!

What we suggest: you can follow the model of normal pages, as you can see in page,php file

so you can take this code bit and then paste it in single-serano_portfolio.php
before the portfolio navigation section?

Then you must go to Serano Core Plugin and modify line 41 in /include/custom-post-types-config.php
'supports' => array('title', 'editor', 'comments'),
by adding comments support for serano_portfolio custom post type. From this point you can enable / disable comments in portfolio item settings

I'm not seeing the custom-post-types-config.php under /include/
are you sure that is the correct path and if so how would I get to it?

Hi Matt, yes the path is correct. You can use the Plugin File Editor, for example, to edit the file
