The portfolio page templates will not display the content entered in the editor. They just build the layout automatically based on portfolio items options (hero image, hero title, subtitle, background etc) and the options of the page having this template. These options are not configurable through the editor but in wordpress admin.
So if you go ahead and create portfolio items under admin -> portfolio, assign hero images and hero captions, they will be automatically displayed in the Portfolio Page Templates ( Showcase- Carousel, Gallery, Grid, List, Reverse)
Ive attached an image of the error i keep getting.
I have imported the import.xml file and got the serano elementor widgets plugin etc.
This pops up when i try editing pages like "Showcase- Carousel, Gallery, Grid, List, Reverse"
i don't get this error for any other theme i use with Elementor.
