As you noticed there are no settings for modifying the header and footer through settings other than:
- for header you can set the logo and the menu type: classic or fullscreen overlay
- for footer you can set the copyright text and the social sharing netwrks
Because we want them integrated 'as is' as part of the design
So basically in order to modify them we recommend:
- for header you can modify header.php and /sections/header_section.php
- for footer you can modify footer.php and /sections/footer_section.php
Both require intermediate php knowledge
The biggest pb with applying Elementor footer and header templates is that they replace the existing structure the theme relies for its dynamic effects

There is also a plugin that you can use
