I purchased the Newave them last week and have been attempting to add an image into the home Layout and cannot seem to get it to work.
I have created a slide in the Main slider and set the homepage options to Main Slider. The slide does not show.
I tried adding the image via the parallax instead and tried filling those options, still nothing shows.
I tried eliminating all plugins. At first, I was getting no images whatsoever (logo included) to show and I thought that the issues were related. Removing all the plugins got the logo to pop back up. I turned them all on, one by one, and determined that the optimization plugin on my hosting site (SiteGround) was blocking the logo. However, after deactivating that, I still cannot get the main image to pop up.
I haven't added much in the way of content, as of yet. At this point, I've only added a contact form section. This I created following your directions on adding a page and labeling it as a section. This imported correctly. I'll need to go back and edit the colors on this, but I assume this is done in the css and I'll worry about that later. At the moment, I'd really like to get the main image working.

In the Main Menu I added a special section that is a top header section and its configurable through theme options -> home options. That's the only role it has. It's different than the Main Page - the one pager container.
I think it's more appropriate to say that you have missed a step. But that's okay I admit is easy to confuse Main Page vs Home/Header Section maybe also we should be more clear in the docs (for example we should refer Home Section with Top Header Section?)
