you can install classic editor and simply copy-and-paste the content, then deactivate the classic editor. This is how it's recommended, sometimes simplest is better.
You can also install a plugin for this. Look 'duplicate posts plugin'.

Could you suggest the best duplicate posts plug-in that works best with your theme? I read some nasty comments on the Yoast plug-in.
I found Post Duplicator by Metaphor Creations and installed it. It works well with posts, pages and portfolio item posts.
