I know the possibility to change the url of the portfolio, but I would like to know if it is possible to change the url to the slug of the portfolio category, I think it is an elegant solution to be able to use the portfolios as pages for different reasons.

actually, if I understand this well, this is not possible. the portfolio slug is unique (even if you change it) and it cannot take the value from portfolio category slug

Hi Carlos,
in case of renaming portfolio_category slug you need to reassign the portfolio items and you need to replace the slug in theme files
To rename the slug you need to go to humpton-core-plugin and edit /include/custom-post-types-config.php
