1. You can go to customizer -> portfolio settings to change the custom slug. Just enter your own and after saving the changes go to Settings -> Permalinks and press 'Save' to refresh them.
In order to completely remove it you may want to use a plugin:
The background wallpaper looks all right after the refresh, I was just wondering if there is a way how it would work properly without the need of refresh.
the only problem here is that the webgl canvas that fullscreen slider works on is initialized once statically, cannot be resized dynamically when orientation changed event is received.

regarding your questions:
