In the Appearance/Menu as I work the nesting of categories, I understand how to bring in the layouts in 'Posts', 'Pages' and 'Links' ( which is how I bring portfolio into this menu structure ), how do I use the last 'Categories'...its not related to any layout clusters on offer n the dashboard...what's the use of it? Or am I missing something...

Hi there,
As I mentioned in your other ticket,
you can add portfolio page categories to the menu as custom menu links, you just need to provide the URL to the portfolio category page, for example
http://clapat.ro/berger-wordpress/portfolio_category/design
Plz note, 'portfolio_category' followed by the category slug

I can bring in all I need under the first three, so what's the need of the last 'Categories'...
Ok got it, there's o need for a reply.
'Categories' are what are keyed in right at the customize settings, and they show up in Appearance/Menu. The rest are simply nested accordingly..
