    Hi, 

    I have installed loco translate plugin to translate the theme strings, but it is NOT translating anything. I even tried with "Poedit" and it is also NOT working.

    Bundled with the theme there are two files . A language .pot file (/languages/canela.pot) which contains all the translatable strings and a wpml config file wpml-config.xml

    No, you don't understand. My problem is that I'm using loco translate plugin and when I translate the strings and switch the languages, there is nothing translated. For example, I found the string "Show filters" in the portfolio page, I translated to Arabic, but When I switch the language to Arabic, it still Showing "Show Filters", NOT the Arabic string "عرض المرشح".

    By the way, I'm using Polylang Plugin.

    Hello,

    I do understand, however I can't really explain why:

    - the option is in customizer -> portfolio settings

    - the customizer settings are saved in wp_options table under theme_mods_canela

    - theme_mods_canela is specified in wpml-config.xml file

    I know that Polylang understands this configuration file

    - the default settings for customizer are stored in /include/default-theme-options.php and they are translatable with esc_html__
