Hi, I love the Helvin theme, which I am still building. But one criticism regards the Desktop UE is when you click on a homepage project, because the portfolio page hero image is exactly the same, you don't necessarily know you are on the page, other than the small scrolldown animation button. Is there a way to have different images on homepage and related portfolio page? Does this make sense?
Lastly, is there a way to have a better hover click experience over the list of homepage projects. The only way i can see to select a project is to scroll to it to get it solid white, you cant just click on the keylined project title. (See attachment) Any way to add this functionality to existing too?
- the reason you have the same image in slider and hero section is to ensure a seamless transition between slider and portfolio pages. you can change it with custom work but this will defeat the purpose of ajax page transitions. makes sense when AJAX is disabled.
- the active caption is clickable only the previous and next slide titles appear somehow on the background it's the intended design effect (but I see the logic in your suggestion)
Fair point about the AJAX. If analytics show users find it difficult, then I'll disable.
However on the latter point, whilst you see my point, is there a solution? can we get the next slide title to appear clickable on mouse hover, rather than only scroll?
You can not make all the titles clickable because the URL to the project is inside the slide(which is full height) and captions are generated by js. You can inspect the code to understand better.
