I noticed that the theme seems not to be tested with woo-commerce or other e-commerce platforms/plugins. Do you think it would still work in case I will try to add a woocommerce plugin and make some customisations or could it break the site?
It's true, the theme has not been tested against woocommerce. In principle it should work if you disable ajax page transitions and do some CSS adjustments to make it match the look-and-feel of the theme.
Oh that sounds like something I could give it a try. Could I ask you how I can disable the Ajax transition of the page? Also should I do this in all the woo-commerce pages I will be using?

You disable AJAX page transitions in customizer -> general settings, this will disable AJAX loading for all the pages.
