I can't seem to find any options in the theme to change the lightbox theme / appearance. I would like any lightbox or "zoomed" image opened in lightbox to have the same style as the link below (instead of the default white border and everything) :
EDIT 2 : Ok, I just realized there were shortcodes / custom image elements in VC for the theme... I feel dumb. So it's all good, problem solved, ticket can be closed sorry ! Thank you :)

You pasted the URL with the themeforest preview frame so it leads me to the front page (home page)
We do have the image popup shortcode
for example
http://clapat.ro/themes/grenada-wordpress/grenada_portfolio/novaroom/
and collage
http://clapat.ro/themes/grenada-wordpress/grenada_portfolio/baseball-game/
that opens in pop up higher res version of the image.
Which one are we talking about? Or are you referring to the styles of the pop up itself (which is the same for both)?

Yeah, the style of the popup : the frame (or lack thereof in this case), close and prev / next buttons.
