I'm very new to WordPress, but I was able to customize everything very easy by my own, but now I want to insert a video as a background for one of my slidersites. I enabled "Video hero" and have the oppurtunity to type in a link for "Webm Video URL" and "MP4 Video URL". Actually I don't know what Webm is, but I tried to copy and paste a YouTube link but it didn't work. When I upload a hero images, I can see the image, but the video doesn't work at all. What did I do wrong? How can I insert a video the right way?
you did a great job except that the self-hosted videos are not youtube or vimeo (which are basically streaming services), they are video files with .webm or .mp4 extension (or format) and can be posted anywhere on internet, usually a CDN or other hosting service. So you just need to paste their url in hero video options.
