Combining Javascript files

The website I am building is suffering from slow load times. I have optimized images, reduced the amount of "pages" on the home screen, and updated Wordpress/theme to help with load times. All of these have helped in small increments, but the site is still not where I want it to be.

I read somewhere that combining CSS/JS files, and linking them to the <head> section would help with load times. Doing this will limit the amount of HTTP requests, which will help in my situation, but I am unsure if I should even attempt this with this theme.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

You can try , but you can also try changing the portfolio types from popups to expanders. For portfolio pop ups the theme will load all the images beforehand.

    Thanks

    Thank you.

    Thank you for the reply,

I changed the portfolio to expanders, which seemed to help load times a little, but now I am having issues with the portfolio section. It seems to skip over the second picture in each of the three different sections.

    Hi Travis,

It may be an issue with the bxslider.

We released an update which includes the latest version of the bxslider to fix this issue.

You can manually update the bxSlider following the steps described by this ticket:

    http://clapat.ticksy.com/ticket/199278

or you can update the theme with the latest version.

    Thanks

    Thank you.
