The YTPlayer would not work on mobile devices due to vendors policy on javascript media controls. Considering also network bandwidth and data plans for mobile is not recommended to have video playing on mobile.
You should provide a fallback image to be displayed on mobile in page options.

One of the answers that was given ("..considering also network bandwidth and data plans for mobile is not recommended to have video playing on mobile...") is a little bit condescending, don't you think? Maybe let people decide themselves...
Is there any chance that you will include this in an update? I can imagine many many many people choose your template *because* of the video, and expect it to work on mobile also.
In NL most people have unlimited data or WiFi nearby. I’m sure I can get total file size under 10mb, even with multiple video’s. In that case it will not be a problem at all; it’s a portfolio site, doesn’t matter if loading takes 2secs longer.
So I really don’t understand why it’s not included in the template...video will be the future for these kind of websites?!
But I guess I will have to fix this one myself. Can you recommend a mobile js video plug-in? I’m not a dev, but if I understand you correctly you propose a solution where - instead of the slider - you show 1 video, correct?
In the end I created a different solution; converted the video's to GIF and show these instead of normal poster/PNG image. Easy to do, and works great :)

The video disappears on mobile. Can I do some adjustments so it does play on mobile as well? Could'nt find anything…

Our opinion is that it is not recommended to play/autoplay video on mobile devices in the hero section.
We do not say you must not.
What you can do is to use video plugin for mobiles for that. You can entirely disable the hero section and add a full width row with the video in it.
A quick way to setup a full width row is adding full as Extra class name in row's options.

Hi Marian, If you used a WPBakery element, as far as I'm aware WPBakery video element does not play on mobile, similar to our approach.
Floris, I don't have a specific plugin to recommend but you can lookup for responsive video embed plugin.
