I use a YouTube video, originally purchased from shutterstock, youtu.be/4Ha0AaTHr9Y on my home page - and w'eve been getting some feedback that its very slow to load. I went to a website that scores speed times and we got an F. I believe the source file is a .mov file, it loops, and i think it was originally 23mb but i believe YouTube compresses and formats it on upload. Do you have any tips, tricks, advice, etc on what i can do to make it load faster. I've seen so many sites that use full-screen backgrounds videos that load almost instantly. If i upload a .mp4 version at a lower bit rate and a smaller file size - do you think that would help or YouTube will use its own setting anyway?
